We love what we do

We, the safety experts at the Munich plant, stand for modern and contemporary occupational safety. We are motivated and committed ambassadors for the most important thing - the safety and health of all employees. Together, we make our prevention performance visible and continue to develop our Safety Performance Index step by step.

Communication leads to success

Modern, up-to-date occupational safety requires good content, a clear structure, and challenging and achievable goals or, in short, an implementation strategy. Without the activation and participation of employees and managers, this content is important – as it usually results from the fulfillment of internal or external obligations, but this does not automatically mean that this content will be applied with conviction, maintained over time, or even optimized.

Safety

is a team

effort

Like a soccer team, everyone is important, from the bus driver to the players to the coach. In addition, soccer fans are often the twelfth player on the field, which can make all the difference at the crucial moment. Translating this to occupational health and safety, everyone has to do their part to ensure that working together as a team leads to the desired success. Participation comes from communication and for us this is an integral part of our coaching. This includes, for example:

A monthly format called »SOS – The Safety Dialogue« presents all topics related to occupational safety in a compact, practical and target-group-oriented manner for specialists and managers, including basics, current projects, tools, legal requirements and our Safety Performance Index (SPI).

The Safety Tiger – our mascot for the Behavior Performance Index. The tiger’s skin is well known from the movie Dinner for One. In occupational safety, the tiger’s skin represents unsafe conditions and situations. Recognizing and eliminating them immediately before an accident occurs is a key takeaway for managers and employees from our training activities.

To improve the safe use of our traffic routes and mutual consideration between pedestrians and our plant logistics employees, we launched a communication campaign on the intranet as well as in the canteen and on vehicles with the slogan
»Is it on your mind?« The highlight,
literally, are two banners, each over 20 square meters in size, in the center of the plant, which call attention to the use of our pedestrian crossings. In our own way, of course, because a raised index finger rarely has the desired effect, particularly long-lasting effect.

See how our safety team brings »Safety First« to life. The communication initiatives are good examples of how committed employees and managers can work together. I am proud of our team and the passion they have for making safety visible. Together, we are creating a safe work environment that benefits everyone. This is our path to success.
